Principal's Welcome Message

Principal's Welcome Message

Dear NHE Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Welcome back to school! I hope you all have had a relaxing and fun summer break.

The North Hartsville Elementary teachers and staff are eagerly awaiting the return of our students on Monday, July 31, 2023.

I am extremely proud to serve as the Principal of this amazing learning community for my fourth year supporting the students of North Hartsville Elementary School. The NHE staff always made a priority of working together as a caring and compassionate learning community with professionalism, teamwork, action, and expertise. We will always put the best interests of our students at the center of our mission to educate, empower, and prepare all for an ever-changing world. We will continue to prioritize instructional time in order to give our students what they need to be successful now, and at the next level. As always, we will look to our families to be positive partners in this year’s journey.

We will continue to begin at 7:30 and dismiss at 2:20. This year students will be eating breakfast in the cafeteria before going to their classrooms.

For car drop-off and pick-up, parents will download the Pikmykid app on their phone and check-in on the app when they arrive at school, so that they can get their child out as quickly and safely as possible. Please be patient with us as we add this feature.

This summer NHE has had a few renovations and updates. Hallways in buildings two and three, the hallway bathrooms in building two, the art room, and other areas around the school have a fresh coat of paint. The breezeway connecting building two and the cafeteria has been replaced so that it doesn’t leak. Our custodians, staff, and teachers have been diligently working to prepare North Hartsville Elementary for the return of students.

We welcome everyone to our Meet & Greet Thursday, July 27, 3:30-5:00. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and drop off supplies. Parking is always an issue so please be thoughtful of other families and the community by limiting the number of family members who attend.
