Fourth grade is an exciting, challenging year. Students will become more responsible and take a greater ownership in their learning. Students are expected to read across the curriculum in all subject areas and have a deep understanding of the material. Highlights of new learning in math include division, elapsed time, converting measurements, and fractions/decimals. The social studies curriculum addresses United States history to 1865. Units in science include weather, astronomy, habitats, light, and electricity and involve hands-on experiments.
