Family Friendly Standards websites
A new web site is now available to provide SC families with interactive activities to support the teaching and learning that takes place in the state's public schools.
The site features an online version of the state's Family-Friendly Standards and is a partnership involving the South Carolina Department of Education, The Education Oversight Committee (EOC) and the State Library.
Each year, the Education Department and the EOC publish a series of guides to help families understand South Carolina's academic standards that set clear, high expectations for student achievement at each grade level. These standards are useful for making sure teachers know what is to be taught; children know what is to be learned; and families and the public can determine how well the concepts are being learned.
